Scrolling Marquee (Windows XP Edition): One of the most basic of the classics, Microsoft no longer includes this in Windows Vista. Even if you don’t like The Matrix, this one is particularly cool. You can change the color of the text, the name it displays, and a ton of other stuff. The Matrix: Matrix screensavers are pretty common, but I have found this one to be the best. I also have Pong, Centipede, Missle Command and Tempest if anybody is interested. I took this off an old Atari collection disk I have. I has the option to have enhanced graphics or classic, and you can even have it display the cabinet art like from the old arcade. I attatched it in case anybody else wanted to take a trip down memory lane…er…maze. So I figured I’d share some of mine, and I hope everybody will find one that brings back a smile or even share a few of their own.Įverytime I bring up screensavers, somebody usually asks for the old Windows 95 “3D Maze”. I have a lot of screensavers, and am always looking for cool new ones. I like them for nostalgic reasons, but I also like how they make the computer a sort of decorative thing in a room when not in use. I’m hoping will be a little better in this respect. Yes, we all know that today’s monitors don’t need screensavers. Everytime I mention screensavers on other forums, people flip and go on about how you don’t need them anymore and all of that. First off, please do not turn this topic into a screensaver bashing frenzey.
